Delores Johnson

Delores Johnson, 75, Gackle, ND died Monday morning, March 26, 2012 at Med Center One in Bismarck, ND. Delores Mayer was born June 2, 1936 at Kenmare, ND, the daughter of Theodore Mayer and Magdeline (Tatarek) Mayer. She received her elementary education in Bismarck, ND and graduated from St. John’s Academy in Jamestown, ND.

Delores Johnson, 75, Gackle, ND died Monday morning, March 26, 2012 at Med Center One in Bismarck, ND.

Delores Mayer was born June 2, 1936 at Kenmare, ND, the daughter of Theodore Mayer and Magdeline (Tatarek) Mayer. She received her elementary education in Bismarck, ND and graduated from St. John’s Academy in Jamestown, ND.

She and Lloyd M. Johnson were married July 7, 1956 at Jamestown, ND. They made their home in Jamestown, ND. In 1966 they moved to Gackle, ND where she was a bartender at the Gackle Bar. Following the death of her husband in 1987 she continued to reside in Gackle.

She was a member of Saint Anne’s Catholic Church in Gackle, ND.

Her favorite charity was St. Jude. Her grandchild was 2 1/2 when diagnosed with cancer and by the age of 5 was cured of this disease. Delores believed that her donations helped her grandchild.

She is survived by her children, Denise (Sheldon Stein) Wentz, Mandan, ND; Brian M. Johnson; Valley City, ND; Brett A. Johnson (Kathy Hanson), Gackle, ND; 4 sisters, Jeanette (Larry) Kaiser, Seattle, WA; Dianne Lutman, Jamestown, ND; Elizabeth Mayer, Bismarck, ND; Jaqueline (Roger) Walters, Jamestown, ND; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; and 1 brother, Jerome (Irene) Mayer Jamestown, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 1 son Brent and 1 brother Theodore, Jr.

The Memorial Service 10:30 Wednesday March 28, 2012 at the Haut Funeral Chapel in Gackle with Rev. Zach Bey, officiating.

Interment will be made at the Gackle Cemetery in Gackle, ND.

Arrangements are with the Haut Funeral Homes in Gackle, ND.
