Delores Norris

Delores Yvonne (Wanzek) Norris of Lacey, WA passed away on 3-27-2012 after a long illness. She was one of 16 children born to Paul and Veronica (Prodzinski) Wanzek of Windsor, N.D.

Delores Yvonne (Wanzek) Norris of Lacey, WA passed away on 3-27-2012 after a long illness.

She was one of 16 children born to Paul and Veronica (Prodzinski) Wanzek of Windsor, N.D.

Delores attended and graduated from St. Johns Academy in Jamestown, N.D.

After Graduation she was employed by Northwestern Bell Telephone where she worked as a Telephone Operator and later as a Repair Clerk in the construction department. She retired in 1989.

Delores married the love of her life, Donald Norris on October 23, 1959. In 1966, they moved to Olympia, WA.

She enjoyed spending winters in Arizona and summer trips to North Dakota.

Delores is survived by her husband Donald in Lacey, WA; Children- Kelly (Cindy), Placerville, CA; Kerry (Gayle), Lacey, WA; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 3 brothers – Gene (Beth) Windsor, N.D.; David and Tony, Jamestown N.D.; 8 sisters – Therese (Bob) Solinger, Nortonville N.D.; Joan (Gene) Cysewski, Courtney N.D.; Louise Wanzek, Minneapolis MN; Connie (Karl) Charipar, Minneapolis MN; Genny (Keith) Berg, Fargo N.D.; Judy (Ken) Baenen, Leed S.D.; Cathy (Gary) Carlson, Cleveland, N.D.; and Cele (Harvey) Newton, Jamestown; Sister in law Delores Wanzek, Courtney N.D..

She was preceded in death by her daughter Mary Norris, daughter Kim and son in law Byron Floth, 3 brothers – Leonard, Kenny and Raphael Wanzek; Sister Joyce and brother in law Jerry Gutensohn and sister in laws Sandy Wanzek and Adeline Wanzek.

A memorial service will be planned for this summer in Windsor, N.D.
