Margaret A. Weatherly, 102, Jamestown, ND, died Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Eventide at Hi-Acres in Jamestown. Margaret Anna Klose was born July 10, 1909 in rural Stutsman County, North Dakota, the daughter of August G. and Katherine (Ries) Klose.

Margaret A. Weatherly, 102, Jamestown, ND, died Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Eventide at Hi-Acres in Jamestown.

Margaret Anna Klose was born July 10, 1909 in rural Stutsman County, North Dakota, the daughter of August G. and Katherine (Ries) Klose. She attended grade school in Sydney Township and graduated from St. John's Academy in 1927. She attended Valley City State Teachers College, receiving her teachers certificate. She taught rural schools at Bremen, ND, Woodbury, Rose and Conklin Townships, rural Jamestown and was a substitute teacher at St. John's Academy. On October 31, 1934 Margaret married Ronald D. Weatherly in Jamestown. They lived at his parent's farm in rural Jamestown until purchasing their farm west of Eldridge in May, 1939, where she lived until moving to Jamestown in December 1997. Margaret became a resident of Hi-Acres Manor in July 2005.

Margaret was a 50-year member of Happy Homes Homemakers, whose members published a cookbook of family recipes. Her hobbies included crocheting, quilting, cards and playing games. She enjoyed baking, cooking and keeping in touch with family and friends. She organized many Klose and Weatherly family reunions and wrote a detailed Klose family history.

Like St. Gabriel, she did many things in ordinary ways.

Margaret is survived by daughter-in-law, Jean Weatherly, Bismarck, ND; one brother, Gerald (Monica) Klose, Hacienda Heights, CA; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; five sisters-in-law; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; three children, Dwayne, Gayle and Melvin; seven brothers and four sisters.

Funeral Eucharist: 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at the Basilica of St. James, with Father Al Bitz presiding.

Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at the Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown, ND
