Russell Sherman Sr.
Russell D. Sherman Sr., age 83, of Carrington, ND, passed away on Friday, July 6, 2012 at his home under the care of Presentation Hospice. Russell D. Sherman was born on July 28, 1928, in West Union, Iowa, the son of Glen and Cecel (Crain) Sherman. He grew up and attended school in Fayette, Iowa.
Russell D. Sherman Sr., age 83, of Carrington, ND, passed away on Friday, July 6, 2012 at his home under the care of Presentation Hospice.
Russell D. Sherman was born on July 28, 1928, in West Union, Iowa, the son of Glen and Cecel (Crain) Sherman. He grew up and attended school in Fayette, Iowa.
On September 25, 1951, Russell was united in marriage to Ellen Gruntjes at St. Francis Catholic Church in Fayette, Iowa. Russ was a Master Plumber and Sheet Metal Fabricator. He worked and owned his own business in Carrington for 60 years. He also had a farm with cattle and horses.
Russell will be remembered and deeply missed by his wife of 60 years, Ellen; four sons, Russ of Carrington, James (Julie) of Carrington, Glenn (Lisa) of Linton, ND, and Daniel, of Colorado Springs, CO; three daughters, Margaret Forsberg, Bonney Lake, WA, Kathleen Bravetti, Lacey, WA, and Karin Sherman, Carrington, ND; 26 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Sheila Sebring, Henryetta, OK.
Visitation: Tuesday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM at Evans Funeral Home, Carrington, ND.
Mass of Christian Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Carrington, ND

Interment: Carrington Cemetery, Carrington, ND
