Mildred "Millie" Traiser Hastings, 98, Jamestown, ND, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Eventide at Hi-Acres, Jamestown.

Mildred "Millie" Traiser Hastings, 98, Jamestown, ND, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Eventide at Hi-Acres, Jamestown.

Millie was born November 10, 1913 in Harvey, ND, the daughter of Magnus and Nellie (Swanson) Myklethun. On April 29, 1935 she married Vern Traiser at St. Francis Xavier Church in Anamoose, ND. They lived in Grand Forks, ND until moving to Jamestown in 1944. Vern passed away in December 1984. Millie later married Don Hastings. He passed away in 2002. Millie was employed at the Parkway Café for 36 years.

She was a member of the St. James Basilica and a lifetime member of the St. James Tabernacle Society.

Millie is survived by daughters, Shirley (Glenn) Shepherd, Grand Lake, CO and Judith (Wayne) Deery, Jamestown; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; three brothers, Everett, Lloyd and Michael; and granddaughter, Denise.

Funeral Eucharist: 10:30 AM, Friday, July 20, 2012 at the Basilica of St. James, Jamestown.

Visitation: 3:00 to 7:00 PM, Thursday, July 19, 2012 at the Eddy Funeral Home

Rosary: 6:45 PM, Thursday, July 19 at Eddy Funeral Home with at vigil to follow at 7:00 PM.

Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown, ND
