Emma Hust, 92, Minot, ND, formerly of Woodworth, ND, died Monday, August 6, 2012 at Trinity Hospital in Minot. Emma Beck was born February 17, 1920 in Woodworth, the daughter of Jacob and Lydia (Teske) Beck.

Emma Hust, 92, Minot, ND, formerly of Woodworth, ND, died Monday, August 6, 2012 at Trinity Hospital in Minot.

Emma Beck was born February 17, 1920 in Woodworth, the daughter of Jacob and Lydia (Teske) Beck. She attended Jamestown schools and graduated from Jamestown High School. On April 3, 1941 Emma married Adam Hust in Jamestown. They lived on the family farm north of Woodworth, where they also farmed. Adam died on August 27, 1991 and Emma continued to live on the farm until 2010 when she moved to Minot.

Emma was active in Woodworth Senior Citizens and served as secretary. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Woodworth American Legion. Her hobbies included quilting, gardening, baking and cooking.

Emma is survived by three sons, Arlis (Julie) Hust, Bothell, WA, Leslie (Zandra) Hust, Jamestown and Delton (Holly) Hust, Minot, ND; one daughter, JoAnn (Francis) Schwalbe, Sykeston, ND; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lilly (Arthur) Rector, Oakland, CA, Violet (Arthur) Carrier, Spokane, WA and Tillie Cathay, Missoula, MT; and two brothers, Alvin Beck, Woodworth and Roy (Wilma) Beck, Walla Walla, WA.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one grandson, Ryan; and two sisters, Martha Adams and Edna Benesh.

Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Friday, August 10, 2012 at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Jamestown with Pastor Darren Purdy officiating.

Visitation: 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, August 9, 2012 at the Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Prayer Service: 7:00 PM, Thursday, August 9, 2012 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel

Burial: Gem Cemetery, Woodworth, ND
