Sarah Johnson, 68, of Jamestown, ND, died Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at her home. Sarah Helen Hill was born on June 8, 1944, in Glendive, MT, the daughter of John Francis and Helen (Anderson) Hill.

Sarah Johnson, 68, of Jamestown, ND, died Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at her home.

Sarah Helen Hill was born on June 8, 1944, in Glendive, MT, the daughter of John Francis and Helen (Anderson) Hill. She attended grade school at Sacred Heart in Glendive and graduated from Dawson County High School. Sarah graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.S. degree in Physical Therapy, and worked at Hennepin County General Hospital for a year. She married Gary Lyle Duane Johnson on April 29, 1967 in Minneapolis, MN. Sarah later worked for Immanuel Hospital and Open Arms DAC & nursing homes in Mankato, MN. They lived in Red Wing, MN for a short time where she worked for nursing homes and at a special education unit. The family moved to Jamestown where she worked for Jamestown Hospital, the Anne Carlsen School for Children, and Sheyenne Nursing Home in Valley City.

Sarah was a member of St. James Basilica and active in the church choir and Women’s Prison Ministry, and was an oblate. She also was a member of TOPS and sold Mary Kay cosmetics.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Johnson, Jamestown; daughter, Coutney Johnson, Minneapolis, MN; son, Nathanael Johnson, Jamestown; one grandchild, Shaquima; four sisters, Veronica (Jim) Witkowski, Wibaux, MT, Carroll (Bob) Cromwell, Vancouver, WA, Patti Hill, Glendive, MT, Annie (Gary) Feist, Glendive, MT; two brothers, Mike Botch, Glendive, MT and Phillip (Jolene) Botch, Ballentine, MT; and one sister-in-law, Joni Hill, Glendive, MT.

Sarah was preceded in death by her mother; father; step-father, Stanley Botch; and one brother, Leo Hill.

Eucharist of Christian Burial: 10:00 am, Saturday, August 18, 2012 at St. James Basilica, Jamestown.

Visitation: 9:00 am to 7:30 pm, Friday, August 17, 2012 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.

Prayer Service: 7:30 pm, Friday, August 17, 2012 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.

Interment: Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown.
