Rita Ann Moser, 84 of Medina, ND died Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Eventide at Hi-Acres, Jamestown.
Rita Ann Wagner was born February 21, 1928, in Jamestown – the daughter of Jacob and Mary Rose (Plinski) Wagner. She attended St. John’s Academy and graduated cum laude in 1946. Rita attended Valley City Teachers College from 1946 – 1947. She worked at the Medina Post Office in 1947 – 1948. She married Adolph Edwin Moser on November 22, 1948 at St. James Catholic Church, Jamestown.
They settled on a farm north of Medina until 1954 when they purchased a farm in Iosco Township where they lived and worked for 28 years. In 1976, they moved to Medina. Adolph died on June 11, 2003.
Rita was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Medina where she was active in the Altar Society and was the organist for 52 years and taught CCD classes for over 25 years.
She was also a member of the Cleveland-Medina VFW Post 971 with Adolph.
She enjoyed reading, music, canning and loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and her pets (petty’s).
Rita is survived by children, Gregory (Trish) Moser, Greeley CO, Bradley (Tammy) Moser, Medina, ND, Constance “Connie” (Tom) Kleven, Medina, David (Jacki) Moser, Streeter, ND and Neal (Tamara) Moser, Crestview, FL;
Grandchildren, Shauna (David) Welch, Lyndsay Edick, Luke Moser, Andrew (Michelle) Hermance, Katie Osborne, Nathaniel (Shannon) Moser, Stacy (Brandon) Kadrmas, Jennifer (Matt) Nichols, Kayla Kleven, Jonathon Moser, Charles (Amanda) Moser, Ashlee Moser, Tillee Moser, Carlee Moser, Brandon Moser, and Corey Moser;
Great-grandchildren, Devon Edick, Landon Edick, Julia Penland, Elijah Hermance, Aspen Hermance, Nature Hermance, Fey Hermance, Morgan Moser, Logan Moser, Treyton Kleven Rahn, Madeline Nichols, Noah Moser, and Weston Moser; one brother, Jay Wagner, Jr., Jamestown; and sisters, Mary Steele, Jamestown, Elizabeth “Beth” (Roy) Case, California, and Thea Wagner, Jamestown.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Eucharist of Christian Burial – 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at St. James Basilica, Jamestown.
Visitation – 1:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown with a Rosary beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Prayer Service – 7:00 P.M, Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown with a Rosary beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Interment – Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
