LaVonne E. Monge, 75, of Jamestown, ND, died Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at her home near Jamestown.
LaVonne was born on September 20, 1936, in Powers Lake, ND, the daughter of Lawrence and Edna (Lien) Anderson. She was educated in the area and graduated from Moose Jaw Bible College, Saskatchewan, Canada. LaVonne taught Bible School in Bowman, ND and surrounding areas. She married Arnold Monge on August 15, 1965 in Minot, ND. They moved to Jamestown in 1969 where their home has been since.
LaVonne was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Jamestown. She loved to sing, play organ and piano, and was a choir director.
LaVonne is survived by her husband of 47 years, Arnold Monge, Jamestown; three daughters, Julie (Rodney) Agnes of Langdon, ND, Sheri (Jim) Lund of Enderlin, ND, and Lori Monge of Bismarck, ND; twelve grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and one sister, Shirley (Raymond) Atwood of Powers Lake, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter, Morgan Shea Hayes.
Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 14, 2012 at the First Church of the Nazarene, Jamestown.
Visitation: 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.
Prayer Service: 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.
Interment: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.
