Betty Johnson

Betty Johnson, of Glenfield, ND, passed away peacefully at Carrington Health Center, Carrington, ND, on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, after suffering a stroke.

Betty Jane was born on July 16, 1925 to Herman and Hildur (Lund) Johnson. She grew up and attended school in Glenfield, graduating in 1943, and later attended the NDAC in Fargo. Betty became a secretary and worked in a variety of corporate settings in Minneapolis, Denver, and Portland, OR. In 1977, Betty returned to her home town of Glenfield where she resided until the time of her death. She was an active member of the Prairie Faith Church and one of the early leaders of the Senior Citizens’ Center in Glenfield.

She is survived and will be missed by one sister in law, Evalyn Johnson, Jamestown, ND; five nieces, eight nephews and their families.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Francis, LeRoy (June), and Willmar, and four sisters, Elsie Johnson, Margaret McDaniel (Arnold), Leone Johnson (Carl), and Hyllis McDaniel (Ray) and two nephews, Ted Johnson and Barton Johnson.
