Rudolph Hausauer

Rudolph John Hausauer, 75, died unexpectedly at his home in Lancaster, CA on July 6, 2012. Rudy was born in Jamestown, ND on November 30, 1936 the son of Rudolph and Katharina (Pietz) Hausauer.

Rudolph John Hausauer, 75, died unexpectedly at his home in Lancaster, CA on July 6, 2012. Rudy was born in Jamestown, ND on November 30, 1936 the son of Rudolph and Katharina (Pietz) Hausauer. He was a graduate of Jamestown High School and a graduate of the University of North Dakota with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a degree in Business. Having devoted his working life to aerospace, rockets and the design of space engines, he retired from Boeing, Rocketdyne Propulsion and Power in February 1999. He loved football----played for the Blue Jays and for the Sioux---and rarely missed an NFL game on television. Loved and respected by family and friends, Rudy will be sorely missed.

Rudy is survived by two sisters, Edna Kelly, Carrington ND and Esther Hausauer, Minneapolis MN; a brother-in-law, Donald Raatz, Bismarck ND, a sister-in-law, Mary Evelyn Hausauer, Golden Valley, MN and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, Walter; brother Albert Hausauer, sister Clara Raatz, brother-in-law Wayne Kelly and nephew Dr. John Kelly.

A graveside burial service will be held at Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 2:00 PM.
