Wayne Fredrickson
Wayne A. Fredrickson, 70, of Horace, passed away Monday, November 19, 2012 surrounded by family at Essentia Health, Fargo. Wayne was born May 29, 1942 to Fred and Lydia (Harvey) Fredrickson near Cooperstown. He grew up and attended school near Montpelier before enlisting in the U.S. Navy in 1959 at age of 17. He was stationed aboard the USS Ranger out of Alameda CA as a Boatswain’s mate. He was honorably discharged on May 3rd 1963.

Wayne was born May 29, 1942 to Fred and Lydia (Harvey) Fredrickson near Cooperstown. He grew up and attended school near Montpelier before enlisting in the U.S. Navy in 1959 at age of 17. Upon his discharge, he moved back to Montpelier and later moved to Fargo. On December 23, 1967, Wayne married Florine Trzpuc at St. Francis of Assisi in Marion, ND. In 1966 he went to work for Brodshaug Farms until his recent retirement.
Wayne enjoyed farming, restoring classic tractors and spending time with his family.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 45 years, Florine; children, Melisa Fredrickson, Horace, ND, Jonathan (Amberly) Fredrickson, Severance, CO, Damian Fredrickson, Fargo, ND; brothers, Orville (Phyllis) Fredrickson, Seattle, WA, Bob (Pat) Fredrickson, Albany, OR; sisters, Allie Moore, Council Bluffs, IA, LaVonne (Clayton) Woods, Albany, OR, Shirley (Jerry) Herring, Sun City AZ, Sharon Wick, Jamestown, ND; grandchildren, Devon, Ty, and Jasper.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Selmer and two sisters, Rachel and Lucille.
There will be a funeral service on Friday, November 23, 2012 at 3:30 P.M. at Fredrikson-Boulger Funeral Chapel, Kindred with visitation starting at 2:30 P.M.
