Reed Spitzer

Reed James Spitzer, 51, Kensal, ND died Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at home surrounded by his family. Reed James Spitzer was born December 5, 1960, in Kensal to Lester and Delores (Kramer) Spitzer. He was raised on the family farmstead south of Kensal and graduated from Kensal High School. After school Reed became an over the road truck driver hauling everything from toxic chemicals to Sara Lee food and was able to see most of the country. Getting tired of being on the road, Reed took a job with the county and then the Department of Transportation with the State of North Dakota. He enjoyed spending time fishing and riding his motorcycle. Reed will be remembered for his big heart and sense of humor and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his brother, Quentin (Lynn) Spitzer, Kensal; his sisters, Marlene (Robin) Meier, Carbondale, Illinois and Lorie (Dan) Ruff, Bismarck; five nieces and one nephew; eight great nieces and four great nephews and one great great niece. He was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew, Brandon.

Memorial Service: 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Bryce Tahran, officiating.
