Sue Greshik Brandau

Sue “Susie” Greshik Brandau of Buchanan, ND passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Ave Maria Village, Jamestown. Sue was born in Georgetown, MN to Leonard and Eileen (Roberts) Greshik. Sue lived in Wimbledon, ND and attended school there, graduating in 1955.

Sue “Susie” Greshik Brandau of Buchanan, ND passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Ave Maria Village, Jamestown.

Sue was born in Georgetown, MN to Leonard and Eileen (Roberts) Greshik. Sue lived in Wimbledon, ND and attended school there, graduating in 1955.

Sue married Tom Brandau on December 30, 1978 in Aberdeen, SD. They lived briefly there and moved to Jamestown, ND in 1981. She worked at Alpha Opportunities as a group home manager and then the ND State Hospital as a CNA until she retired in 1999.

Sue loved music and acting and performed in many small stage plays in the area. She most enjoyed playing the accordion and the piano. She also had a love of pets of all kinds, especially her four cats.

Sue is survived by her husband, Tom of 34 years, three sons, Tim (Dottie) Cleary, Weeping Water, NE, Dave Cleary and Jerry (Dana) Cleary, Lincoln, NE; one daughter, Laurie (James) Loomis, Fargo, ND; one step-daughter, Vanessa Spiewak, Great Falls, MT, 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Yvonne (Loran) Soleim and Sherri (Robert) Brown of Jamestown, ND, Mardi Martinson, Minneapolis, MN; four brothers, Lynn (Mary) Greshik, City of Spiritwood, James (Kathryn) Greshik, San Marcos, CA, George (Debbie) Greshik, Wimbledon, ND, Ted Greshik, West Fargo, ND, Heidi Szatkowski, Oak Grove, MO and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leonard; mother, Eileen and father-in-law, Hans Brandau.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m., Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown.

Interment: St. Boniface Cemetery, Wimbledon, ND.
