Frank Golde
Frank Golde, 59, Jamestown, ND passed away suddenly of natural causes, Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center. Frank was born July 4, 1953 in Bismarck, ND, the son of Lloyd A. and Leona (Briggs) Golde. They lived on the family farm until 1959 when they moved to Jamestown. He was a 1971 graduate of Jamestown High School and went on to earn his chemical engineering degree from UND. He worked for Cargill Malting until his retirement. Frank and Pam Gilbertson Kehl were married in 1992.

Frank was born July 4, 1953 in Bismarck, ND, the son of Lloyd A. and Leona (Briggs) Golde. They lived on the family farm until 1959 when they moved to Jamestown. He was a 1971 graduate of Jamestown High School and went on to earn his chemical engineering degree from UND. He worked for Cargill Malting until his retirement. Frank and Pam Gilbertson Kehl were married in 1992.
Frank was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and the Dakota Anglers. He was described as a quiet, caring man who was ready to help family and friends whenever a need arose.
In his earlier years, he enjoyed bow hunting, hunting and flying his plane. After his retirement he enjoyed fishing, reading WWII histories, gardening and doing stained glass and riding his motorcycle. Frank enjoyed traveling to Saipan, Panama and was anticipating a trip to Africa. Using the mechanical skills he learned from his father, he took care of the family vehicles. Frank was a devoted family man and loved spending time with his children and grandsons. He was also devoted to his dog, Layla.
He will be missed by his wife, Pam, Jamestown; three children, Tori (Steve) Hockert, Wahpeton, ND, Erik (Lindsay) Kehl, Zambia, Africa and Shane Kehl, Fargo, ND; three grandsons, Caden and Carter Hockert and Estlin Kehl; his mother, Leona Golde and sister, Kathy Golde, both of Bismarck; father-in-law, Gordon Gilbertson, Jamestown; special aunt, Shari Briggs, Mandan, ND; special friend of more than 50 years, Tom Divers, Jamestown; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd; brother, Larry and mother-in-law, Audrey Gilbertson.
Memorial Service: 11:00 AM, Friday, December 28, 2012 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Jamestown, with Pastor Lucinda Lien officiating.
Prayer Service: 7:00 PM, Thursday, December 27, 2012 at the Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.
No Visitation is scheduled.
