Frances Leona Bellon, 96, Jamestown, ND passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Eventide at Hi-Acres in Jamestown.
Frances Brownson was born February 15, 1916, the daughter of Frank and Marion (Madison) Brownson. She grew up in the Spiritwood community and was married to Adam Bellon in 1940. Frances started teaching in 1938 in several area rural schools and retired from Roosevelt Elementary School as a Special Education teacher in 1980.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and had been involved in the churches woman’s society and Sunday school programs.
Frances is survived by her daughter, Patricia Rominsky, El Paso, TX; daughter-in-law, Charlotte Bellon, Jamestown; three grandchildren, David (Mandy), John (Lindsey) and Jessica; three great-grandchildren, Aidan, Joseph and Evelyn; two sisters; Faye Cooch and Doris Lusk, both of Fargo ND, and one brother George Brownson, Palm Harbor, FL.
She is preceded in death by her mother Marion, father Frank, two brothers, Edward and Ivan, and stepson Clifford Bellon.
Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church, Jamestown with Rev. Kenrad Pederson officiating.
Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Friday, January 4, 2013 at the Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown, ND.
Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, ND
