JoAnn Helen Ulrickson died on Jan 3, 2013 in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. She was 69 years old. JoAnn was born August 7, 1943 in Jamestown ND where she attended Jamestown High School graduating in 1961.
She attended Jamestown College and graduated in 1965 with degree in Physical Education. She then moved to Minneapolis where she worked at Glenwood Hills Hospital as a recreation therapist. She was a competitive swimmer, an accomplished artist and an avid sports enthusiast. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and loved animals; never turning a stray away. Friends and family will always remember her wonderful cooking, and especially, her blue ribbon awarded, caramel rolls.
She is survived by her life time partner, JoHanna Miller. Sisters, Mary Jean Dennis (Robert Dennis), Fargo; Karen Senne (Paul Senne) Jamestown. A niece, Dawn Olson (Troy), and nephews Jonathan Dennis, and David Dennis (Krystal), and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley & Alice A. Ulrickson.
There will be celebration of her life on January 19 in Golden Valley, Minn.
The family requests that memorials be sent to Alzheimer’s Assoc.
