Nancy Kay Schulz of Jamestown, ND passed away Monday, March 4, 2013.

Nancy was born the February 1, 1953 in Jamestown, the daughter of Alfred and Evelyn (Ames) Williams. She attended and graduated from Wimbledon Public School and was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree from NDSU.

Nancy worked at Alpha Opportunities and currently for the State of North Dakota at the South Central Human Service Center as a program manager until the time of her death. Her role as mother and grandmother brought her immense joy. She cherished family and friends, always willing to give of herself to others and opening her home to include others as if they were family, especially around holidays.

Nancy had a passion for quilting, gardening, reading, sewing, and being an avid Bison fan. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and Sarah’s Circle.

Nancy will be forever missed by her children, Chris “Tim” (Marcia Procopio) Schulz and Kami (Jeff) Olson, granddaughters, Lilyana and Macie Schulz, sister, Bluette Clancy, all of Jamestown, sister, Joann Williams, Hammondsport, NY, brother Don (Karen) Williams, Pueblo, CO and nephews. Nancy’s support group with four legs and a tail was led by her loyal dog, Lucy Mae and numerous grandpups.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Shirley.

The way Nancy led her life, meeting every challenge uncomplainingly with courage and patience, was an inspiration to all who knew her.

Memorial Service: 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 9, 2013 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Jamestown, with Pastor Arlyn Coalter officiating.
