Eugene Grenz
Eugene Grenz, 78, of Jamestown, ND, died Monday, March 18, 2013 at Sanford Health, Fargo. Eugene was born on March 18, 1935, on the family farm in McIntosh Co, south of Fredonia, ND, the son of Karl and Eda (Kusler) Grenz. He attended country school and farmed with his father near Fredonia.

Eugene Grenz, 78, of Jamestown, ND, died Monday, March 18, 2013 at Sanford Health, Fargo.
Eugene was born on March 18, 1935, on the family farm in McIntosh Co, south of Fredonia, ND, the son of Karl and Eda (Kusler) Grenz. He attended country school and farmed with his father near Fredonia. Gene was united in marriage to Ruby Bender on September 15, 1957 at the Baptist Church in Venturia, ND. He continued to farm with his father until purchasing a farmstead near Lehr, ND where they made their home until 1969. The family moved to Jamestown where Gene worked for Melland’s and then for Conlin’s Furniture for 38 years.
Gene was an avid woodworker and enjoyed fishing with his family and bird watching.
Gene is survived by his wife, Ruby Grenz, Jamestown; son, Bryant Grenz, Spokane, WA; three daughters, Carla (James) Elstad, Jamestown, Linette (Todd) Strube, Fergus Falls, MN, and Lucinda (Glenn) Christianson, Jamestown; seven grandchildren, Matthew Grenz, Trapper Grenz, Eric Elstad, Brett Elstad, Grant Christianson, Ashley Strube, and Chase Strube; four great-grandchildren, Larissa, Marissa, Hunter, and Kealy; brother, Roger (Ardella) Grenz, Spokane, WA; sister, Joyce (LeRoy) Kramlich, Kulm, ND; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Terry Ann Perleberg.
Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Temple Baptist Church, Jamestown, ND with Rev. Randy Jaspers officiating.
Visitation: 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 22, 2013 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown. Family will receive guests from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Friday, March 22, 2013 at the funeral home.
Interment: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, at a later date.
