Helen Moser, 89, Medina, N.D., died Friday, Feb. 27, 2009, at Triumph Hospital, Mandan, N.D. Helen Lorenz was born April 18, 1919, near Fried, N.D., the daughter of Anton and Francis (Fila) Lorenz.

Helen Moser, 89, Medina, N.D., died Friday, Feb. 27, 2009, at Triumph Hospital, Mandan, N.D.

Helen Lorenz was born April 18, 1919, near Fried, N.D., the daughter of Anton and Francis (Fila) Lorenz. She grew up and attended school in the area. She served in the U.S. Army from September 1994 to March 1945. She married Ernest C. Moser on May 6, 1946, at Thermopolis, Wyo. She was a homemaker until 1972. They started Stutsman County Sanitation, where they worked until retiring in 1988. She was a member of United Methodist Church, Medina. She enjoyed sewing, embroidering and painting on pillow cases and dish towels. She enjoyed the New York Yankees, horses and her two cats, Spot and Midnight.

She is survived by a son, Kenneth, Fargo, N.D.; three daughters, Jean Moser, Fargo, Linda Moser Eicholtz, Bismarck, N.D., and Sherry (Clifford) Meadows, Medina; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a son, Donald; and several sisters and brothers.

Service: 11 a.m. Wednesday, United Methodist Church, Medina, with the Rev. Darwin Kopfmann officiating.

Visitation: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Burial: Medina Cemetery, Medina, in the spring.
