Duane M. Ost

The funeral for Duane Ost, Jamestown, ND formally of Kulm, ND will be Thursday, March 5, 2009 at 10:30 AM at the Kulm As-sembly of God Church at Kulm, ND. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Dahl-strom Funeral Home, Kulm, ND. Burial will be at the Kulm Assembly of God Cemetery, Kulm, ND at a later date.

Duane Marvin Ost, son of Marvin and Evelyn (Schlenker) Ost was born September 3, 1948 at Jamestown, ND. He attended school in Kulm, ND and graduated from Kulm High School. Duane attended Valley City State University and graduated with a major in music. Duane’s passion and love was for his family and music. He taught music for many years in several surrounding communities in North Dakota. He was involved in many music community activities in the area including, the choral director of Victory Lutheran Choir, the Choralers, Alive, Kulm City Band and many others. Duane was currently working at Don Wilhelm at Jamestown, ND. Duane was loved and adored by his family and by all who knew him. He will be dearly missed.

Duane died February 28, 2009 at the Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown, ND. He was 60 years old.

Duane is survived by his mother, Evelyn Ost, Kulm, ND and his son, Nathan Ost, Fargo, ND. He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Ost. Dahlstrom Funeral Home of Kulm, ND entrusted with arrangements.
