Gloria Faye Beach, age 73, of Carrington, ND, died Friday, March 13, 2009, at her home under the care of Presentation Hospice. Gloria Faye Nysted was born to Bernhart and Gladys (Schlotman) Nysted on August 26, 1935, in rural Carrington, ND.

Gloria Faye Beach, age 73, of Carrington, ND, died Friday, March 13, 2009, at her home under the care of Presentation Hospice.
Gloria Faye Nysted was born to Bernhart and Gladys (Schlotman) Nysted on August 26, 1935, in rural Carrington, ND. She attended country school through grade 8 and then attended and graduated high school in Carrington, ND.
She worked at Steve’s and Piggly Wiggly in Carrington until shortly after her marriage to Gordon Beach on March 28, 1954. They were united in marriage in Carrington at Calvary Baptist Church. After their marriage, she babysat and traveled with Gordon while he worked on road construction.
She was a very active member of Calvary Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for over 30 years. She was also an active member and held offices in the local TOPS Chapter and Diabetes Association for many years.
Gloria will be missed and remembered by her husband, Gordon; her children, Kevin (Jo Lysne) Beach, Carrington, ND, Bryan (Christa) Beach, Minneapolis, MN, Sandy (Clayton) Verke, Washburn, ND, Kyle (Kathy) Beach, Wimbledon, ND, Shane (Maria) Beach, Prior Lake, MN, and Bret (Nancy) Beach, Fargo, ND; nine grandchildren, Vicki, Travis, Jacob, Elizabeth, Samantha, Cody, Ethan, Drew, and Lauren; step grandsons, Chris and Luke; four great-grandchildren, Tyler, Brookelynn, Brittney and Shelby; three sisters, Lois (Glenn) Meyer, Moorhead, MN, Arlene (Darwin) Rodacker, Carrington, ND and Sonja (LeRoy) Miller, CA; one brother, Richard (Barb) Nysted, Carrington, ND; and her mother-in-law, Evelyn Beach, Carrington, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Walt; sisters, Mabel Lund and Nora Miller; and her father-in-law, Elmer Beach.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Carrington Cemetery Fund.
Visitation: Sunday, 1:30 PM – 8:30 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM.
Monday, 9:00 AM – 12 Noon all at Evans Funeral Home, Carrington, ND.
Funeral Service: Calvary Baptist Church, Carrington, ND
Monday, March 16, 2009 @ 2:00 PM
Interment: Carrington Cemetery.
