Amelia Neva, 73, James-town, died Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Center, Jamestown. Amelia M. Martwick was born Sept. 1, 1935, at Kulm, N.D., the daughter of Maynard and Rosaline (Hartman) Mart-wick.
Amelia Neva, 73, James-town, died Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Center, Jamestown.
Amelia M. Martwick was born Sept. 1, 1935, at Kulm, N.D., the daughter of Maynard and Rosaline (Hartman) Mart-wick. She grew up on a farm near Edgeley, N.D., and graduated from Edgeley High School. She married Loran C. Neva on Aug. 6, 1955, at LaMoure, N.D. They moved to Jamestown, where they raised their family. She was employed as a lab technician for the North Dakota State Hospital, Jamestown. She enjoyed family socials, German food and going on mystery tours.
She is survived by a son, Michael (Diane), Minot, N.D.; a daughter, Lorrie (David) Olson, Las Vegas, Nev.; a sister, Esther (Roy) Gahner, Bismarck; two brothers, Daniel (Barbara), Glen Ullin, N.D., and David (Alvina), McClusky, N.D.; two grandchildren and a great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, and her parents.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, Concordia Lutheran Church, Jamestown, with the Rev. Tom Eckstein officiating.
Prayer service: 7 p.m. today, Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.
Visitation: 1 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, in the spring.
