The funeral for Adolph Glenn Ellingson, known as Glenn Ellingson, of Berlin, ND, will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church, Edgeley, ND, with Reverend Ken Ballard officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00 to 7:00 with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, LaMoure. Burial will be in the Berlin Community Cemetery.

Adolph Glenn Ellingson, was born to Adolph and Mamie (Worrel) Ellingson May 15, 1915 near Berlin, North Dakota. He attended schools in Badger and Willowbank Townships near Berlin. After his schooling, Glenn farmed with his father. He also worked with Carl Olson digging wells, with M.R. Young threshing operations, and he worked at Cummings, Minnesota. On September 1, 1938 Glenn bought the Standard Oil Service Station and International Harvester parts from Neil and Loretta Rausch.

Glenn was united in marriage to Twila Lorraine Nelson on October 10, 1938 at the Methodist Parsonage at LaMoure, North Dakota. They made their home in the Berlin area their entire life.

Glenn was confirmed in the United Methodist Church at Berlin. He accepted the Lord into his life at 18 years of age. He was a member of the Methodist Church in Berlin until it closed, and then they joined Wesley United Methodist Church in Edgeley.

Glenn entered St. Rose Care Center at LaMoure in January. He passed away there on Sunday, May 10, 2009. He was 93 years old.

He is survived by one son, Darryl (Maureen) Ellingson, Berlin, ND; two daughters, Diane Freih, Fargo, ND and Glenda (Barry) Townsend, LaMoure, ND; one brother, Mervin (Juletta) Ellingson, Mesa, AZ; one sister, Audrey (Blaine) Horsager, Edgeley, ND; seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Twila, his parents, Mamie and Adolph, and a sister, Elnere Busche.
