Mary Ann Soulis, 86, Jamestown, died Sunday, May 24, 2009, at Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown. Mary Ann Christ was born Aug. 8, 1922, at Kief, N.D., the daughter of Anton and Kathryn (Sherry) Christ.
Mary Ann Soulis, 86, Jamestown, died Sunday, May 24, 2009, at Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown.
Mary Ann Christ was born Aug. 8, 1922, at Kief, N.D., the daughter of Anton and Kathryn (Sherry) Christ. She attended school at Leal, N.D., and graduated from Leal High School in 1940. She married Michael J. Soulis on May 2, 1954, at Aberdeen, S.D. They lived in Jamestown.
She enjoyed gardening, reading books and watching movies.
She is survived by her husband; six sons, Michael C. (Peggy) Soulis, Poco-moke, Mass., Joseph A. Soulis, Indianapolis, Ind., Joel (Carolyn) Soulis, Floyds Knobs, Ind., Bob (Peggy) Arnold and and Danny (Trudy) Flugga, both of Bagley, Minn., and Tim (Joan) Swift, Board Camp, Ark.; three daughters, Bonnie (Norman) Church, Fingal, N.D., Sherry Holden, Indianapolis, and Donna (Stanley) Nistler, Louisville, Ky.; 22 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Cathay; a sister; and three brothers.
Services: To be held at a future date. Arrangements by Haut Funeral Homes, Jamestown.
