Charlotte “Char” D. Schulz, 80, Jamestown
Charlotte “Char” D. Schulz, 80, Jamestown, died Monday, July 6, 2009, at her home after a battle with cancer.
Charlotte Gray was born Feb. 12, 1929, in Buchanan, N.D., the daughter of Clarence and Vesta (Bruce) Gray. She married Randy Schulz on Oct. 2, 1948, at New Home Lutheran Church, Woodworth, N.D. They farmed in the Woodworth area from 1948 to 1969 and then they moved to Jamestown. She was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. She enjoyed volunteering, bowling and gardening.
She is survived by her husband; three sons, Kenneth (Annette), Watertown, S.D., Rodney, Bismarck, N.D., and Brent (Sue Pfaff), James-town; three daughters, Sheila (Doug) Block and Kim Borthwick (Jeff Timm), both Jamestown, and Judy (Paul) DeLaurier, Riverside, Calif.; two sisters, Donna Sadek, Jamestown, and Evelyn Craven, Washington; a brother, Garnet, Casper, Wyo.; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Timothy; her parents; two sisters; and a brother.
Memorial service: 11 a.m. Thursday, Concordia Lutheran Church, Jamestown, with the Rev. Thomas Eckstein officiating. Arrangements by Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.
Burial: Buchanan Cemetery, Buchanan, N.D.
