Randy Scott Klose Jr., 19, Mandan, N.D., died Saturday, July 18, 2009, in Mandan. Mr. Klose was born June 7, 1990, in James-town, the son of Randy and Lori (Hoyt) Klose.

Randy Scott Klose Jr., 19, Mandan, N.D., died Saturday, July 18, 2009, in Mandan.

Mr. Klose was born June 7, 1990, in James-town, the son of Randy and Lori (Hoyt) Klose. He grew up in Dillon, Colo., Jamestown, Kenesaw, Neb., Salina, Kan., Kiron, Iowa, and Ponca City, Okla. He moved to Bismarck, N.D., in 2004. He enjoyed playing video games, writing short stories and poetry, drawing, playing guitar, music, reading and going to the river.

He is survived by a son, Caeden, Bismarck; his mother, Lori Klose, Mandan; his father and stepmother, Randy Klose and Cheri Rohrich, Bismarck; a sister, Lacey Klose (Chad Meuchel, Mandan; five brothers, Ryan Gulstad and Josh (Amy) Gulstad, both West Fargo, N.D., and Lucas (Tera Ankenbauer) Gulstad, Jacob Rohrich and TiLer Teske, all Bismarck; his grandparents, Elmer and Eldora Klose, James-town, and Mylerna Hoyt, McHenry, N.D.; and a great-grandmother, Marie Middlestead, Jamestown.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Harvey Hoyt, and stepfather, Greg Thompson.

Services: 2 p.m. Friday, St. John’s Lutheran Church, Jamestown.

Prayer service: 8 p.m. Thursday, Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.

Visitation: 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.
