Arnold Hoffman, 92, Stewardson, Ill., formerly of Carrington, N.D.
Arnold Hoffman, 92, Stewardson, Ill., formerly of Carrington, N.D., died Thursday, Aug. 6, 2009, at his home.
Mr. Hoffman was born March 9, 1917, in Foster County, North Dakota, the son of Adam and Pauline (Huff) Hoffman. He married Mabel C. Lehmann on Aug. 5, 1945. They farmed southwest of Carrington until his retirement. He was a former member of the Carrington Seventh-day Adventist Church and a member of the Mattoon Seventh-day Adventist Church.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Norman (Norma), Indianola, Iowa, and Kimber (Linda), Berrien Springs, Mich.; a daughter, Barbara (Wendell) Figgins, Stewardson; a sister, Emma Hegney, Carrington; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Kenneth; his parents; two brothers, William “Bill” and Louie; and a sister, Ida Opp.
Services: 11 a.m. Sunday, Mattoon Seventh-day Adventist Church, Mattoon, Ill., with Pastor Steve Nelson and Elder Joe Arner officiating.
Visitation: 10 to 11 a.m. Sunday at the church. Arrangements by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Strasburg, Ill.
Memorials: 3ABN Broadcasting Network, Voice of Prophecy, or charity of choice.

Dear Mable and family What a wonderful visit we had this spring when you came to Linden with Linda and Kimber. Just was so good to see you all. Our family loved Arnold ( it was always Arnold and Louie) I have a very special toy that he brought me as a child and will always cherish it as a rememberance of him.
