William Nelson

William “Will” Nelson, 27, Fargo, N.D., died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009, at his home.

Mr. Nelson was born Aug. 17, 1982, at Jamestown, the son of Jeffery and Barbara (Thorson) Nelson. He grew up and attended school at Hurdsfield Public School. The family moved to Eldridge, N.D. in 1997, where he attended Jamestown High School. He graduated in 2001. He worked in his parents’ restaurant, the Pantry Café, and later worked for the Dakota Hearth factory, Jamestown. In 2004, he moved to Fargo where he worked as a shuttle bus driver for Best Western Doublewood. He married Samantha Russell on Nov. 9, 2004, at Fargo. They lived in Fargo. He enjoyed art and music.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Avia, Fargo; his father, Moorhead, Minn.; a sister, Andrea (Jacob) Johnson, Elk River, Minn.; grandparents, Carl and Almira Nelson, Washburn, N.D.; and his grandmother, Beverly Knoblock, Jamestown.

He was preceded in death by his mother; a sister, Nellie Ann Nelson; and his grandfather, Robert Thorson.

Memorial service: 2 p.m. Friday, Haut Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, with Pastor Bryce Tahran officiating. Arrangements by Haut Funeral Homes, Jamestown.
