Telecare is a free, friendly call made Monday through Friday to people who live alone and don’t have family to check on them. This service has been provided to the community for more than 30 years.   • Submitted photo<br /><br />From Left, Sig Trimble, Martha Trautman, LaVonne Magstadt, Marlys Perleberg, Kathy Huber, Mary Gainsforth and Lue Struble have prepared the Trees of Love for Christmas at Jamestown Hospital. These trees, one in the hospital lobby and one in the cafeteria, are decorated with glass hearts that have been purchased to honor or remember someone. These funds will be used to purchase materials for safety rails, surgery pillows and baby items for patients. Those wishing to donate will find the forms in the hospital Gift Shoppe.

Reinhardt said she put on a facemask to help stay warm in the arctic air now covering the entire state. She also said the weekend blizzard was “kind of nice but this digging out is something else.” The high temperature on Monday was minus 10 degrees Farenheit.
