  • Submitted photo<br /><br />Kirk Heim, representing the board of directors for the Jamestown Community Foundation recently presented Jessie Fuhrer and Cindy Lugo, of the James River Humane Society, with a grant of $1,000 for operating support for the organization. The Jamestown Community Foundation is a local, nonprofit entity that provides a tax-exempt organization for donors to fund worthy causes in the Jamestown community.
  • Nicole Kruger, music teacher at Pingree-Buchanan Public School, is shown with her son, Dylan, a fifth-grader, and daughter Ashlyn, a second grader, at the school.
