Canvassing Board meets Friday to declare election results official
The voters have gone to the polls and the tabulations of the unofficial results have been made. Only one thing remains in the election process. At 9 a.m. Friday, the Stutsman County Canvassing Board will meet to review some problem ballots and declare the election results official, according to Casey Bradley, chief operating officer and auditor for the county.

The Stutsman County Canvassing Board reviewed 105 ballots during its meeting Friday. The board rejected 33 ballots and added the other 72 ballots to the unofficial totals from Election Day. None of the issues were close enough to be effected by the additional votes.

Steve Brubakken and Dan Buchanan are the two new members of the Jamestown City Council according to unofficial election results available Tuesday evening. Incumbent Charlie Kourajian also retained his seat on the council. Brubakken and Buchanan replace Pat Nygaard and Ken Schulz who declined to seek reelection.
