After what seemed like a month, the day the Carrington Cardinal baseball team has been waiting for has finally arrived. The Cardinals take to the diamond at Jack Brown Stadium today at 4:30 p.m. to kick off the team’s first ever trip to the state Class B baseball tournament against the Beulah Miners.

Class B roundup: FW-M edges Cards in D7 final
The Carrington Cardinals got off to a bit of a slow start, and they were never able to fully recover during the championship game of the District 7 tournament at the Devils Lake Sports Center on Tuesday night. Four Winds/Minnewaukan’s Collin Delorme (14 points) and Austin Longie (11) led 9 players in scoring, as the Indians won the District 7 crown with a 54-51 victory over the Cardinals.
