Two Linton players and one from Carrington have been chosen to play in the 2012 NDHSCA-Optimist East-West All-Star volleyball games later this month. Jamestown College Robin Weber, a 5-foot-8 outside hitter and her teammate at Linton-Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock Kayln Schneider will be on the East Roster. They’ll be joined by Carrington outside hitter Emily Thompson on the 12-player roster.

New Rockford-Sheyenne picked up a win in Class B girls basketball on Monday, taking down Four Winds-Minnewaukan 75-53 at Four Winds. The Rockets’ Lexi Weber (17 points), Lacey Grann (16), Renelle Allmaras (12) and Rachel Hermanson (10) all hit double figures in the game.
