The Blue Jays are on the rise. Riding a seven-game winning streak, the Jamestown High School boys’ basketball team jumped up two spots to No. 3 in the latest Class A basketball rankings, which are voted on by the North Dakota Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association.

Kessler speaks to Kiwanis on program
Jerry Ronholm introduced Jamestown High School boys’ basketball coach Kelley Kessler at the Kiwanis Club’s Jan. 16 meeting. Kessler grew up in Mayville and started as coach here this past year. He said he is getting to know the people now and feels blessed to be in this community. His goal is to support the boys and make them the best they can be. He said they are trying to build a program they can sustain. He said the interest and support is very high here for basketball.
