During the past four years, when Alex Kreis has been on the mound, one thing is very likely to happen: a Jamestown College win. The hard-throwing senior from Grand Forks has won 84 percent of his decisions during his career, which started as a freshman in 2008 and continues into the Opening Round of the NAIA National Tournament this week in Joliet, Ill.

He also recently got engaged, and spent Thanksgiving with his future in-laws in Canada.

Kreis named DAC’s top pitcher — again
Alex Kreis has been named the DAC’s best pitcher for the second straight season. The senior from Grand Forks went 7-2 for the NAIA National-Tournament bound Jimmies, allowing just 43 hits in 59 1/3 innings with a sparkling 2.43 ERA. The hard-throwing right-hander also struck out 67 batters and was the winning pitcher in the DAC tournament championship game on Sunday in Dickinson.
