Letter to the editor: Republican mailer was error, not an attempt to mislead
It has been brought to my attention that a mistake was made in a mailing sent on behalf of my local Republican legislative candidates. In a recent letter to the editor, Dean Remboldt said the local Republican campaign was “trying to fool you into voting” for Bernie Satrom, Ken Hall and Alex Looysen as incumbents.

Letter to the editor: Housing Incentive Fund is finding success in N.D.
There are many challenges facing us during this time of unprecedented growth and opportunity. If you had to name just one as the most significant issue, you would most likely single out “housing” and more specifically “affordable housing.”

In a recent letter to the editor Craig Headland decided to interpret responses regarding elevator insolvencies made by Brad Crabtree in a partisan rant that was quite misleading.

Letter to the editor: School Board members need to change their ways
As a former Jamestown Public School Board member, I have tried to remain quiet about the actions of a number of our current School Board members. I know it is not an easy job trying to balance the needs of students, staff and taxpayers. It takes a lot of effort if you are going to be successful and do the job right.

Letter to the editor: Keep the Fighting Sioux nickname on Tuesday
I will be voting no on Measure 4 on June 12 which means I am in favor of keeping the Fighting Sioux nickname at University of North Dakota. I do not accept the NCAA as God. UND existed before the NCAA was even a dream in someone’s mind just as the Indians were here before America was even a dream in the mind of Columbus.

Letter to the editor: Heinrich is a team player, understands the issues
I thought it appropriate this year to step up and make a brief comment or two about the importance of who we elect as our community representative in the North Dakota state senate. With Dave Nething retiring, this leaves some awfully big shoes to fill.

Letter to the editor: ‘Personhood’ bill is intrusion by government into health
I’ve never been more confused; what does the North Dakota Republican Party stand for? I understood Republicans believed in less government involvement, personal responsibility, fiscal restraint to leave more money in the people’s pocket. I get that, but here are just a few examples Republican legislators don’t.
