Fischer among Lions All-Stars
Jamestown High School’s Danny Fischer will play in the Lions All-Star Series the next two days. Fischer, a three-year starter for the Blue Jays, averaged 17.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1 steal per game in his senior season. Fischer is the first boys player from Jamestown to play in the All-Star Series since Landon Rachel in 2008.

LaMoure’s Thielges signs with VCSU
LaMoure native Tyler Thielges has opted for a change in both geography and sports. The 6-foot guard, who earned Region 3 Senior Athlete of the Year honors in basketball at LaMoure High School, has decided to transfer to Valley City State University and play basketball for the Vikings next season. Thielges currently attends South Dakota State University in Brookings, where he was a freshman redshirt quarterback for the Jackrabbits last fall.
