Jerrald G. “Jerry” Larson, 78, of LaMoure, ND, passed away March 12, 2013, at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND. Jerrald was born at LaMoure, ND on June 10, 1934, to Alfred and Neva (Muir) Larson. He attended country school at Dean 1 and Dean 3 through the 8th grade, and graduated from LaMoure High School in 1952.

Five Jamestown High School graduates are among the 2013 North Dakota High School Track and Field Hall of Fame class. UND releases honor roll
The University of North Dakota has released its fall 2011 President’s Roll of Honor. To qualify for roll of honor, a student must have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.80 or higher. The student must also have earned a minimum of 30 semester hours and have completed a minimum of 12 hours at the close of the semester, eight of which must be fore traditional letter grades.

UND deans’ list released
The University of North Dakota has released its winter 2011 deans’ list. The UND deans’ list includes students whose grade point averages are in the top 15 percent of the enrollment in each of the university’s degree granting colleges and schools. A student must have completed no fewer than 12 semester hours of academic work for the semester, of which eight or more hours must be graded work rather than “satisfactory/unsatisfactory.”

Leonard Walter Rude, 94, Jamestown, ND died Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Eventide at Hi-Acres in Jamestown. Leonard was born May 25, 1918 in Ludlow, South Dakota, the son of Esten K. and Inga (Johnson) Rude. When he was four years old the family moved to Pingree, ND, and then to Buchanan where they farmed.
