North Dakota Securities Commissioner Karen Tyler has ordered Freedom USA Investing, LLC and its agent, James Young, Fargo, to cease and desist from the offer and sale of securities in this state. Tyler has also ordered Freedom USA Investing LLC and Young to make rescission of any real estate investment contracts sold to investors in North Dakota.

Council OKs developers ordinance
Real estate developers will have to pay less upfront to develop property in Jamestown in the future. A change in the ordinance regarding what infrastructure costs can be paid by the city through special assessments passed the City Council Monday by a 3-2 vote. Mayor Katie Andersen and Councilmen Charlie Kourajian and Ramone Gumke approved the change with Councilmen Steve Brubakken and Dan Buchanan dissenting.
