Arlene Wolsky at the age of 79 went to be with her Lord on October 17, 2012. She was surrounded by her loved ones. Arlene Betty Schlosser was born on May 23, 1933 on the family farm near Kensal, ND, the daughter of John (Jack) and Bertha (Guenther) Schlosser. She attended a rural school and graduated from Kensal High School 1951. She was baptized at the United Methodist Church in Kensal. She took accordion lessons and played for many functions. Arlene was a teacher for several years.

JHS class of 1952 holds reunion
The Jamestown High School class of 1952 held its 60th class reunion on July 13-14 at the Gladstone Inn & Suites. A social and registration was held July 13 with 28 classmates plus guests. Each class member received a tapestry designed by quilter and seamstress Jill Riffe. The tapestry depicted Jamestown’s noted white buffalo, White Cloud, Dakota Miracle and Dakota Legend.

Dianne Sparks
Dianne Sparks, 70 of Grand Forks, ND passed away Sunday, March 17th, 2013 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. Dianne Elaine Kalmbach was born on the family farmstead near Jud, North Dakota on December 31st, 1942 to John and Ella (Drenth) Kalmbach. She graduated from Jud High School and obtained her teaching degree from Valley City Teacher’s College. Dianne moved to Wolf Point, Montana and taught on the Indian Reservation there. While living in Wolf Point, she met the love of her life, a southerner, Joe B. Sparks, Jr. who was temporarily working in Montana on a seismology crew.
