Taste of Home Cooking School set for Thursday at JC
The Taste of Home Cooking School will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Reiland Fine Arts Center on the campus of Jamestown College. The doors open at 3 p.m. for an accompanying show featuring displays of products and services from vendors including Lifestyle Appliance & Entertainment Center, Infinity Building Services, Conlin’s Furniture and Hugo’s Family Market Place. The cooking school starts at 7 p.m.

JC student exploring Harry Potter film sites
For all Harry Potter fans (count me in) just imagine how it would feel to be in the Great Hall at Hogwarts, the sorting place for newcomers to the school of wizardry. Films are made every day, and what sets the Harry Potter series apart from many modern-day movies are the physical, everyday locations where the scenes were shot. Most of the places where the impactful shots were filmed, the “sorting hat scene” or the “sorcerer-stone scene,” etc., do exist. Not everything is computer-produced. Some things, including some strange and playful locations, are as real as your own home.

Eslick gets JHS job: New wrestling coach excited to get started
Larry Eslick set his career goals “six or seven years ago” and on Monday night, he knocked another out. The Great Falls, Mont., native was named head wrestling coach at Jamestown High School at a school board meeting at the Jamestown Middle School. He’s been an assistant to longtime coach Greg White for the past 13 years.
