Funeral Services on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Devils Lake. Visitation will be held at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Wednesday beginning at 3:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Family will be present beginning at 6:00 p.m. Visitation on Thursday will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.

Midkota standout Emily Berge has signed with the Jimmies. Berge, the Region 4 Senior Athlete of the Year, compiled 312 kills, 260 digs, 52 assists, 44 aces and 42 blocks last season for the Mustangs. The 5-foot-8 hitter also earned all-state honors as a junior and senior.

Same-sex marriage: Analysis shows N.D. to favor it by 2016
A majority of North Dakotans will be in favor of same-sex marriage by 2016, if we’re to believe Nate Silver. Silver, a statistician who blogs for the New York Times, predicts in a recent polling analysis that 51 percent of the state will favor same-sex marriage in just three years. By 2020, Silver predicts, that number goes up to 58 percent.
