Detective warns of paving scam
Spring is here bringing sunny skies, higher temperatures and asphalt paving scams, according to the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office. Detective Jason Falk said he is working on his first asphalt paving scam case of the year. He wouldn’t discuss case details, but said this company’s mode of operation is similar to cases he has seen in the past. “The companies always change their name, and it’s not always the same people, but it is the same scam,” he said.
