New digs unveiled: Vikings’ new stadium, um, unique
The Minnesota Vikings will have a translucent roof and moveable front windows on their new stadium. Designer Bryan Trubey of Dallas-based HKS Architects presented images of the $975 million project to a crowd of fans, public officials and members of the Vikings organization Monday night. The event took place at the Guthrie Theater, a few blocks from where the stadium will be built in downtown Minneapolis.

Cubs owner makes threat

Jamestown College’s Nico Moreno has been named the A.I.I. Male Athlete of the Week. Moreno, a senior from Glendale, Ariz., hit .429 last week, going 9-for-21 with four doubles and two home runs as the Jimmies went 6-0.
