This year in North Dakota, an estimated 3,500 people will be diagnosed with cancer and another 1,280 will die of the disease. People without health coverage are more likely to be diagnosed with cancer at its later stages, when patients are less likely to survive and treatments are more costly.

Filling our schools with guns is absurd. As oil/gas facilities build out in North Dakota, further permanent harm to agricultural land must be prevented, while ensuring the land can be returned to an economically productive agricultural status. Undoubtedly thousands of agricultural land acres will be displaced by oil well pads, roads, tank batteries, man camps, permanent waste facilities, etc., in the near future.

I came across a quote from an unknown author that said, “Timothy McVeigh didn’t use a gun.” But he killed 168 innocent people, 19 of which were children under age 6. He injured more than 680 innocent people and totally destroyed federal property. But you can still buy fertilizer and racing fuel and rent box trucks.
