Dickey County Fair July 13-15
The Dickey County Fair is July 13-15 in Ellendale. Events include a “Hands-on OHV Safety Certification Course.” This course meets the requirements of OHV Safety Certification that children age 12-16 must have to legally operate on public land, including ditches, trails and roadways. The certification classes will be at 9 a.m. Friday or 1 p.m.

VC site of music programs
The Valley City Park District is hosting Music on the Courthouse Lawn Wednesday evenings. Music in the park originated during the summer of 1996. In 2009, the City Park Band Shell was flooded and declared structurally unsafe. The Bridges Arts Council was instrumental in contacting the Barnes County Courthouse as a new location so summer outdoor entertainment could be continued.
