Jamestown’s Alex Lind and Fargo’s Faith Marty went toe to toe on Thursday night in the Blue Jays’ final meet of the regular season. Marty took top honors in the vault and balance beam, but Lind came away with titles in the uneven parallel bars and the floor exercise en route to a meet-winning all-around score of 37.425 at the Jamestown Gymnastics Club.

He said he had a lot of things on his mind, namely switching his football verbal commitment from Northern Iowa to North Dakota State. He got a few hours of sleep, but that didn’t do much to ease the stress. “I couldn’t eat, my head was hurting,” he said. “Migraines from the stress level I guess.”
