Kiddies Bike Parade is July 4
The annual Kiddies Bike Parade will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday on First Avenue South. This 1 1/2-mile leisurely-paced parade will start at the south parking lot on First Avenue and proceed south on First Avenue to Eighth Street, over to Second Avenue Southeast and then south to and through McElroy Park, ending up at the Sertoma Shelter for prize presentations and treats by the Sertoma Club.

Three chances to catch fireworks
Fireworks enthusiasts will have three chances to enjoy the sights and sounds of pyrotechnics this week in the area. At dusk on Wednesday, fireworks displays will occur at Sanborn, New Rockford and Kulm as part of each community’s Fourth of July celebrations. Activities in Sanborn include a parade at 10 a.m., pickup pull at 11 a.m. and demolition derby at 2 p.m.
