Jays’ Lind named West’s top senior
Alex Lind was named West Region Senior Athlete of the Year following another strong performance on Friday night. Lind tied for second in the all around with a sparkling 37.425, tying with Bismarck Century’s Jessica Gabriel and trailing only Kaylee Keller of Bismarck (37.950).

Lind wins three: Jamestown standout takes bars, floor and all-around
Jamestown’s Alex Lind and Fargo’s Faith Marty went toe to toe on Thursday night in the Blue Jays’ final meet of the regular season. Marty took top honors in the vault and balance beam, but Lind came away with titles in the uneven parallel bars and the floor exercise en route to a meet-winning all-around score of 37.425 at the Jamestown Gymnastics Club.

Things come together for Jays
Everything came together quite nicely for the Blue Jay gymnasts Saturday. Hosting Wahpeton and Grand Forks, the Blue Jays rolled up a season-best score of 142.300, which if it came at region or state, would put the Blue Jays in the top 3 mix.

Busy day caps crazy week
For an avid sports fan in Jamestown, this week has been a blast. However, if you enjoy getting around to all sports the Buffalo City has to offer, you’ll find yourself at a crossroads today. Stilwell shines but VC wins
On paper, the score was solid, but nothing more, said coach Dave Tews. Led by a personal-best score from sophomore Jenna Stilwell, the Blue Jays finished a disappointing second at the Wahpeton Invite on Thursday. Stilwell’s 34.350 was the “shining light,” according to Tews, but the story of the meet was Valley City and its 138.600.

Despite an imperfect meet, coach Dave Tews still has to like where his team sits in the big picture. Hosting four of the top five teams in the state, the Blue Jays posted a solid 135.050 to finish behind Bismarck and Dickinson, both of which cleared 139. Bismarck Century was a distant fourth with only heavyweight Minot missing from the state’s top five.
